Job Summary
Oral surgery practice seeks an experienced Surgical Assistant III to support an oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities include instrument cleaning, autoclave operation, tray setup, room setup/breakdown for IV anesthesia, drug protocols, patient pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, patient positioning, airway support for sedated patients, patient calming techniques, instrument circulation and retrieval, post-anesthesia monitoring, and determining if a patient needs physician review. Non-surgical duties include restocking supplies, taking vital signs, handling forms and handouts, scheduling, charting, patient consultations, discharge instructions, taking X-rays/scans, entering EMR notes, coordinating treatment plans with referring dentists, e-prescribe knowledge, dental impression making, and potential supervision or training of other team members. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of people-management experience. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm. Benefits include 401(k) matching and several insurances. Must work on-site and be able to stand up to 80% of the time; may lift up to 25 lbs.

- Ability to enter EMR notes for various appointments and procedures
- Greet patients and make them feel comfortable

- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, filing, and charting
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and personal protection
