Surgical Assistant II

Oral surgery assistant to support our oral surgeon before, during, and after each dental procedure. Responsibilities include instrument cleaning and autoclave operation, surgical tray setup, identification of instruments, room setup for IV anesthesia and surgery, patient pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, patient positioning and airway support for sedated patients, post-anesthesia monitoring, and determining if patients need to see a doctor. Non-surgical duties include greeting patients, scheduling, charting, EMR notes, X-rays/scans, and daily office opening/closing. Must maintain OSHA compliance and provide excellent patient care with strong organizational and communication skills.
