Surgical Assistant II

Provide intra-procedure and post-procedure oral surgery support including instrument setup and sterilization, anesthesia setup and monitoring, and assisting the oral surgeon; manage patient positioning, radiography (X-rays, Pano, CBCT), EMR note entry, scheduling, and patient discharge instructions. Ensure infection control and OSHA compliance, perform autoclave operations, instrument maintenance and preventive upkeep, support administrative tasks (scheduling, filing, charting), greet patients, and provide excellent patient care with professional communication. Duties include room setup/breakdown for IV anesthesia and surgery, monitor post-anesthesia patients, assist with emergencies, and back-up co-worker coverage; office opening/closing performed daily. Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time and perform required duties on-site.
