Job Summary
Oral surgery clinic seeks a Surgical Assistant II to support the oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities include instrument sterilization and autoclave operation, surgical tray setup, instrument identification, room setup for IV anesthesia and surgery, patient positioning and pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, patient monitoring post-anesthesia, and emergency procedures. Non-surgical duties include OSHA compliance, patient greeting and consent materials management, scheduling, charting, patient consultations, discharge instructions, taking X-Rays/scans, entering EMR notes, and daily office opening/closing. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program, certification as a Surgical Assistant, current CPR/BLS, and a dental X-ray license. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. Benefits include 401(k) matching and multiple insurances. Working on-site is essential; ability to stand up to 80% and lift up to 25 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program
- Certification as a Surgical Assistant
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required
