Job Summary
Surgical Assistant II responsibilities include supporting the oral surgeon before, during, and after dental procedures; maintaining infection control and instrument handling (autoclave, tray setup, instrument identification); assisting with pre-op/post-op setup, patient comfort, and anesthesia support (including IV setup and nitrous oxide); managing patient flow, reviewing charts, and taking X-rays/entering EMR notes. Non-surgical duties include scheduling appointments, filing, and patient consultations. The role requires on-site work Monday–Friday with travel between Dacula and Cumming offices, and offers a complete benefits package (401(k) matching, dental/health/life/vision insurance, referral program). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program
- Certification as a Surgical Assistant
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent patient care under stress
- Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude
