Job Summary
Surgical Assistant I position supporting oral surgery procedures and patient care. Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon during consultations and treatment, preparing and handling instruments, sterility and infection-control tasks (including autoclave operation), surgical tray setup, room setup for IV anesthesia and surgery, patient seating and pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, instrument circulation and retrieval, and ensuring excellent patient care and communication. Non-surgical duties include restocking supplies, taking vital signs, handling scheduling and charting, and basic office tasks. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current CPR/BLS certification, and a dental X-ray license; preferred candidates may have completed an accredited Surgical Assistant program and hold Surgical Assistant certification. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and referral program. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent patient care under stressful circumstances
- Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude
