Surgical Assistant I

Surgical Assistant I position at DFW Oral & Facial Surgical Arts in Grand Prairie, TX. Duties include assisting the surgeon during consultations and treatment, basic lab tasks (impressions, model work), instrument handling and sterilization, autoclave operation, surgical tray setup, room setup for IV anesthesia and surgery, patient seating and pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, patient positioning, instrument circulation and retrieval, and delivering excellent patient care and communication. Non-surgical duties include restocking supplies, taking vital signs, handling forms and scheduling tasks, filing, charting, making follow-up calls, and potential X-ray work. Must be bilingual, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold CPR/BLS certification, and have a dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT). Strong organizational and time-management skills and effective written/verbal communication are required. Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program and certification as a Surgical Assistant. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
