Surgical Assistant I

Job Summary
Surgical Assistant I supports the surgeon during consultations and treatment, assists with basic lab duties (impressions, models), instrument handling and cleaning, autoclave operation, surgical tray setup, patient pre-op setup, chart review, nitrous oxide setup, airway support for sedated patients, instrument circulation, and non-surgical duties such as restocking supplies, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments, and charting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and a dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT). Hours are Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, on-site at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery in Woodstock, GA. Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program and certification as a Surgical Assistant. Special requirements note on-site work essential and physical ability to stand up to 80% of the time, with lifting up to 25 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
