Job Summary
Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, and maintain accurate medical records while filling medications and entering charges. Prepare patients for surgery by shaving, scrubbing, and positioning them, assisting with intubation and radiographs. Perform blood draws, submit bloodwork, and liaise between surgeons and clients to deliver post-operative care instructions and navigate financial obligations. Open, turn over, and clean operating rooms, including instrument cleaning and pack wrapping. Requires prior veterinary experience and proficiency in drug calculations.
Required Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a background check
