Job Summary
Fellowship-trained acute care trauma surgeon sought to join a 14-person trauma team (7 acute care surgeons, 7 PAs) near Orlando/Gainesville, FL. Must be board certified or eligible in general surgery and surgical critical care, with the ability to perform a broad range of procedures. The role involves emergency general surgery, trauma care in the surgical ICU, and opportunities in research and teaching, plus potential faculty appointment with the University of Central Florida. The program features one year of advanced structured call schedules and supports resident education as part of its clinical and academic mission.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
- Board certification or eligibility in Surgical Critical Care
- Fellowship-trained in trauma/acutely care surgery or equivalent
- Experience with broad range of surgical procedures
- Interest in research and teaching
- Clinical comfort with trauma/general surgery
- Participation in advanced structured call schedules
- Affiliation with University of Central Florida is a plus
