Job Summary
The Surgical Technician will provide perioperative support within the Surgery Department, maintaining a sterile field, handling specimens, and assisting practitioners during procedures. The role includes maintaining central supply and sterilization procedures, managing surgical supplies and equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care. Requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience with BLS certification; previous OR experience is strongly preferred. Full-time, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with call responsibilities, every fifth weekend rotations, and holiday coverage as needed. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience
- BLS certification required
- Previous operating room experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
- Calm under pressure, independent thinker, and committed to exceptional patient care and customer service
- Provide perioperative support within the Surgery Department and assist other departments as needed
- Perform all duties of a surgical scrub technician, including maintaining a sterile field, handling specimens properly, and assisting practitioners during procedures
- Maintain proficiency in central supply and sterilization procedures and techniques
- Assist in managing and maintaining surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
- Support teamwork, safety, and professional standards in the perioperative environment
