Surgery Tech - FMC OR (0.9 FTE, Nights)

Prepare rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each surgical procedure as outlined in policy. Demonstrate close attention to detail regarding aseptic technique at all times. Participate in patient safety activities including presurgical pause and perform all counts measured by documentation on the OR record. Maintain an orderly and sterile instrument table or Mayo stand. Consistently pass necessary instruments to surgeon and surgical assistant(s). Remain alert and handle unexpected situations with calm efficiency. Prepare and handle medications on the sterile field under the direct observation of a registered nurse. Handle records, label, and specimens according to established policy and procedure. Perform other duties as assigned. This role is 0.9 FTE with night shifts.
