Surgery Scheduling Representative

Answer all incoming calls into the department and assist patients with scheduling surgery and answering surgery-related questions. Schedule all procedures, diagnostic testing, and consults as ordered by the physicians, while assisting with precertification and authorization for surgery and ancillary testing. Provide timely and accurate information and quality customer service to incoming patient inquiries, resolving patient issues and consistently meeting or exceeding service expectations. Follow all rules and procedures of the organization's compliance and HIPAA programs. Requires minimum of 1-year call center, customer service, or switchboard experience; knowledge of Epic EMR, surgery scheduling, medical terminology, and insurance preauthorization processes preferred. Full-time role in office Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
