Job Summary
Coordinate internal/external appointments and surgery scheduling across multiple treatment locations; verify medical/dental insurance, obtain prior authorizations, conduct treatment planning/estimates, collect patient payments, and assist with charges and chart audits for billing; assist with procedure/diagnosis coding, accounts receivable, and medical claims filing; validate/triage internal and external referral sources via phone, fax, email, and mail; maintain high-volume written and oral communication with clinicians, patients, and teams to ensure accurate coordination of care; support front office and back office clinical duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field
- two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- medical coding certification (AAOMS Coding Certificate Program, AAPC CPC, or equivalent)
- certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire or three years of coding experience
