Job Summary
Schedule surgery and coordinate pre-op appointments with patients or their caregivers. Check patient charts for insurance benefits, prepare cost summaries, and counsel patients on finances and physician fees. Communicate with all associated facilities to ensure the financial and surgical communication process is complete. Follow up on and collect surgery payments. This role requires flexibility to perform various tasks, including weekend work when applicable, and involves frequent travel between multiple practice locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to work weekends when applicable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time
