Job Summary
Surgery Scheduler for General & Vascular Surgery at BayCare Clinic in Green Bay, WI. Verifies availability of date, time, and anesthesia for scheduled procedures; obtains scheduling details (procedure, anesthesia type, length of stay, patient demographics); schedules procedures with attention to block times; communicates with hospital staff and manages pre-admission testing; records cancellations and reasons; handles inquiries by phone with courtesy and maintains confidentiality; operates in a safe, compliant manner. Associate degree in a health care field is preferred; clinical experience in surgical scheduling or MA/LPN is strongly preferred; 6 months to 1 year related experience or equivalent; requires strong communication skills and computer/software proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a health care field preferred, but not required
- Clinical experience, MA/ LPN or previous surgical scheduling experience strongly preferred
- 6-months to 1-year related experience/training or equivalent of education/experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Working knowledge of computers and appropriate software
