Surgery Scheduler- Dean McGee Eye Institute - Oklahoma Health Center

Surgery Scheduler role responsible for maintaining the schedule for all surgeries, coordinating with physicians and staff, and generating department reports. Responsibilities include coordinating surgery dates, priorities, and durations to optimize use of surgery suites; maintaining a 7-day paper schedule; notifying parties of changes; printing and distributing daily schedules; extensive customer relations in coordinating schedules with physicians; using the Patient Electronic Medical Record system to compile data and reports; QA statistics to assess department efficiency; attaching physician orders to patient records to ensure appropriate care; professional communication with physicians and office staff; collaboration with nursing and ancillary departments to support teamwork; utilizing occurrence reporting systems to identify patient safety issues; assisting in resolving patient concerns; adhering to Code of Conduct and organizational values. Other duties as assigned.
