Perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and supervise personnel in surgical service areas. Make patient care assignments, facilitate patient flow, and directly observe staff performances. Proactively match resources to support staff and maintain a therapeutic environment while assuring staffing aligns with patient needs. Communicate personnel concerns to the Nurse Manager and identify opportunities for improvement using logical problem-solving skills to maintain unit professional standards.
