Job Summary
Provides direct patient care across the surgical continuum (neonate through geriatric) in the surgical environment, including pre-operative and post-operative care, pain management, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthetists. Maintains confidentiality, adheres to safety practices, supports transfer and positioning of patients, and participates in performance improvement activities. Must be able to take call shifts; requires basic computer skills and English communication, with potential to float to additional departments within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Kansas
- BLS required on hire
- NRP and ACLS within three months of hire
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school
- Minimum 1 year experience in acute care; peri-operative care preferred
