Job Summary
Surgery- and ophthalmology-focused full-time faculty position on the Clinical Educator Track for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist fellowship-trained in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher, with salary commensurate with experience. The role involves expanding a busy oculoplastics practice, opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration with ENT, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Trauma, and Maxillofacial Surgery, and teaching residents via Loyola Ophthalmology Residency Program. Well-equipped minor OR facilities at Loyola University Medical Center (Maywood) and the Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge are available. Required Qualifications
- O. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Eligibility for an unrestricted Illinois medical license
- Demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching, and academic engagement
- Interest and prior experience in clinical research
