Job Summary
Breast Surgeon position at CommonSpirit Mountain Region in Utah with a physician-led group. Responsibilities include 4 days in clinic and 1 day in the operating room per week (36 patient hours), surgical planning and procedures for breast disease, coordination with a plastic surgeon for reconstruction (no free flap), and utilization of localizing breast lesion techniques. The role supports a physician-friendly organization with resources for credentialing, contracting, and financial modeling; CME funds; sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, student loan repayment, and a flexible time away policy. Required credentials include fellowship training in breast surgery (preferred), residency/fellowship in the specialty, DEA registration, unrestricted medical license, and board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty. Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathy is required, with physician privileges within the health system. Location is West Jordan, Utah, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship trained in breast surgery highly preferred
- Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital
- Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
- Doctorate MD or DO required
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state
- Physician provider requirements as applicable to credentialing/privileges
- Ability to meet physical requirements for medical staff duties
