Job Summary
Prepare the operating room and surgical team by setting up sterile equipment, instruments, and drapes while maintaining aseptic techniques. Assist the surgeon and assistants with gowning and gloving, position and drape the patient, and ensure comfort and safety measures are followed. Transfer patients to the operating room table and support anesthesia personnel as needed. This role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or nursing school, along with Surgical Technologist Registration in WA and Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from surgical technology program accredited through Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology ARC-ST.
- Surgical Technologist Registration: WA
- OR Graduation from an accredited school of nursing may be substituted for graduation from an accredited surgical technician program.
- Registered Nurse: WA
- Basic Life Support - CPR, through the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- six months operating room work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
