Surgery Center at Akron General - RN PreOp/PACU - Full-Time

Prepare patients for surgery by evaluating physical and mental health, gathering medical history, and assessing airway quality. Administer pre-operative medications and IV fluids while ensuring surgical sites are properly prepared and informed consent is verified. Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall condition during recovery, managing pain and recognizing complications as they arise. Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and families, assess readiness for discharge, and maintain accurate documentation of all nursing care. Communicate effectively with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care. This full-time role includes no calls, no weekends, and holidays off.
