Job Summary
The Surgery Appointment Assistant will support patients from consultation through recovery, handling tasks such as safely restraining patients, documenting medical histories, coordinating scheduling, admitting and discharging patients, managing invoicing, and assisting with surgical room setup. The role requires proficiency in animal handling, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are organized, compassionate, and uphold high standards of patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a veterinary hospital setting
