Job Summary
Conduct adult liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation with a focus on minimally invasive nephrectomy, while performing general surgery procedures and hepatobiliary surgery in transplant patients. Lead clinical care, teaching, and research activities alongside university service obligations. Maintain board eligibility or certification in general surgery and hold a valid IL medical license. Requires ASTS-approved fellowship training and adherence to UNOS criteria. Participate in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Required Qualifications
- Assistant or Associate Professor level
- Experience in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation
- Adult liver and kidney transplantation
- Minimally invasive nephrectomy
- General surgery procedures in transplant patients
- Hepatobiliary surgery
- Interest in participating in undergraduate and graduate medical education
- Board eligible/certified in general surgery
- Valid IL medical license before start date
- Fully trained in an ASTS approved fellowship
- Meet UNOS criteria for a liver and kidney transplant surgeon
