Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support the cardiac surgical team during procedures. Ensure patient safety while functioning as a member of the surgical unit. Requires NBSTSA certification, CST certification, and two years of cardiac surgical experience. Includes 8-10 call shifts, 12-hour Monday-Friday rotations, and 24-hour Saturday-Sunday coverage. Required Qualifications
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Cardiac experience required
- CST certification required
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- 8-10 call shifts
- 12 hours Monday-Friday
- 24-hour Saturday and Sunday rotation
