Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support the surgical team as a member of a cardiac unit. Perform procedures including CABG, valvuloplasty, aortic procedures, transplant, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, and fem-pop bypass. Work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment using EPIC. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Graduation from an accredited school
- Cardiac and thoracic surgery experience including CABG, valvuloplasty, aortic procedures, and transplant
- Strong CVOR background with ability to work independently with minimal guidance in CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, and fem-pop bypass
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- EPIC experience
