Job Summary
Assist with laying, raking, levelling, and finishing asphalt while supporting the operation of surfacing plant and tools. Carry out site preparation and general labouring duties before, during, and after works, conducting routine checks and maintenance of equipment and PPE. Collaborate with the Foreperson and wider squad to complete projects safely, reporting any defects or near misses promptly. Work flexibly across different sites and shifts, including night work where required, following all site instructions and safe systems of work.
Required Qualifications
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Commitment to working safely and following procedures
- Flexible approach to working hours and site locations
- Previous paver experience
- Nightshift working
- Work flexibly across different sites and shifts, including night work where required
Desired Qualifications
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in surfacing, construction, highways, or a similar environment
