Surface Supervisor (Mining)

Supervise mill operators, package operators, laborers, and contractors to produce and ship bulk and packaged salt products while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulations. Oversee production scheduling, manage employee performance through training and accountability, and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations. Assist with project planning, including equipment installation and process improvements, while ensuring proper maintenance and housekeeping standards are upheld. This role requires a high school diploma, three years of leadership experience in heavy industry, and the ability to lift 50-100 pounds in various environmental conditions, with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed. After training, candidates settle into a consistent back shift schedule approximately 80–90% of the time.
