Surface Maintenance Technician - North Plant

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild malfunctioning plant equipment while executing routine preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, greasing, and replacing screens and pumps. Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery, plumbing, pumps, conveyors, elevators, structures, and compactors. Assist with the maintenance and operation of mobile and heavy equipment including cranes and forklifts, and perform general maintenance on above-ground machinery and surrounding building systems. Maintain a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and at least two years of industrial maintenance experience. Work a 9/80 schedule with rotating on-call duties for a 24/7 operation in an outdoor, non-temperature controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience
- Must be able to provide own basic standard and metric tools
- Must be available to work a call-out schedule for a 24/7 operation
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, work at heights, perceive color differences
- Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity
Desired Qualifications
- Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
