Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair surface mobile equipment, including loaders, forklifts, trucks, service vehicles, and support equipment; perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hoists, winches, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; maintain and repair material handling systems, including conveyors, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, bins, chutes, pumps, crushers, and screens; diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults and complete repairs, including component replacement, adjustments, and rebuilds; operate forklifts and mobile lifts from designated locations with little variation; perform welding, cutting, and light fabrication on carbon steel and stainless steel for guards, supports, and equipment repairs; safely operate equipment to test functionality, reposition machinery, and verify completed repairs; conduct routine inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment deficiencies; read and interpret manuals, schematics, work orders, and maintenance documentation; coordinate with operations, contractors, and maintenance team members to minimize downtime; follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, with PPE
- Ability to perform physical job duties (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, etc.)
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice
- Mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments
