Job Summary
Maintenance technician responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing surface mobile equipment (loaders, forklifts, trucks, service vehicles) and related systems. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components; sustains material handling systems (conveyors, belts, gearboxes, pumps, crushers, screens); diagnoses faults and completes repairs including component replacement and fabrication; operates forklifts and mobile lifts; conducts routine inspections and safety checks; reads manuals, schematics, and work orders; coordinates with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime; adheres to safety policies including lockout/tagout and regulatory requirements. Preferred candidates have welding experience and strong troubleshooting skills; experience with material handling systems and mobile equipment is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of PPE
- Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice
- Mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
- Welding experience and strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with material handling systems and mobile equipment preferred
