Job Summary
Set up and operate surface grinding equipment, performing machine set-ups, identifying proper fixtures, and selecting required grinding wheels. Support integrating current and future products into CNC grinding processes while maintaining a safe working environment per OSHA standards. Utilize steady hand control to visually inspect parts against blueprint specifications for finish tolerances and surface roughness. Learn new CNC and grinding equipment quickly to adapt to evolving production needs. Work the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm.
Required Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating surface grinding equipment
- Ability to support integrating current and future products into CNC grinding processes
- Hand-skill and steady-hand control
- Quality control: Ability to visually inspect parts
- Blueprints reading: Understanding finish specifications, tolerances, and surface roughness symbols
- Attention to detail: Meticulous focus to detect tiny imperfections
- Concentration: High focus during repetitive tasks
- 2nd shift 2pm-10pm
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Stahli grinder preferred
- Ability to Learn new CNC and grinding equipment quickly
