Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive surety underwriting training through mentoring, self-study, and online learning. Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and contractor applications to evaluate risk acceptability against UFG policies. Assist underwriters in processing books of business and servicing existing accounts while meeting departmental growth objectives. Perform agency and contractor visits to market products to partners, handling confidential information with discretion. Maintain electronic files and utilize various software platforms. Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or combination of education or surety experience
- 1+ years of professional work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance or accounting preferred
- Certified, or working towards, AFSB designation, preferred
- 1+ years of professional work experience preferred
