Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care and supervise Respiratory Care staff across Acute Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department units. Manage shift scheduling, distribute resources, and coordinate hand-offs through daily huddles to ensure safe, efficient operations. Intervene in complex clinical situations, resolve emergencies, and mentor team members on problem resolution while adhering to Departmental Clinical Practice Guidelines. Assist with performance appraisals, quality reports, and accreditation readiness audits. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and departmental goal development. Requires Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field, 3 years bedside experience, and RRT certification. Located at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Respiratory Care, Education, or related field
- Associate's Degree. Graduate of a school for Respiratory Therapy approved by AMA or a successor accrediting authority
- 3 Years experience as a bedside therapist in an acute care setting
- 1 yr experience at Prisma Health
- BLS
- RRT
- AARC Membership
- NBRC credentials must be maintained
- Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in SC
