Oversee day-to-day supervision and operation of the Patient Financial Services self-pay patient accounting functions for EvergreenHealth Medical Center and EvergreenHealth Monroe. Lead and supervise staff, resolve complex account issues, and collaborate with internal departments and external partners on patient accounting policies and processes. Drive call center performance and patient experience, coordinate staffing and payroll, conduct trainings for Self-Pay and Financial Assistance teams, participate in recruitment and performance evaluations, resolve billing inquiries, manage charity care processes (Medicaid applications, poverty guidelines), oversee collections with agencies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, FCRA), and identify workflow improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy in self-pay accounts.
