Job Summary
Supervises production staff on the 12-hour night shift (7p-7a) at the Winston-Salem plant, coordinating and directing production workflow to ensure quality standards, production efficiencies, and timely completion of work orders. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving production and quality issues, maintaining a visible plant presence, providing direct supervision to the shift’s manufacturing staff, evaluating hourly employee performance, training production personnel and maintaining training documentation, reviewing daily production reports, issuing work orders to maintenance and ensuring preventive maintenance, enforcing safety and environmental rules, collaborating with other departments and temporary staffing agencies as needed to meet production requirements, and assisting management in developing cost-effective efficiency and quality improvements and executing operating strategies. Required qualifications include high school diploma or GED, ability to interpret documents and communicate effectively, basic computer skills, and five years of corrugated industry experience with supervisory experience; strong math and communication skills and ability to differentiate colors. A drug screening is required after a conditional job offer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior supervisory experience (recommended) or at least five (5) years corrugated industry experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups
- Knowledge of and basic computer skills
- Excellent math and communications skills (verbal and written)
