Job Summary
Shipping Supervisor - Smyrna, GA: Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics operations at the Smyrna manufacturing facility. Lead shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate receipt, staging, labeling, and system processing of inbound materials and finished goods; supervise outbound shipments to meet production and customer delivery targets; ensure compliance with DHL/ERP (Jobscope) transactions and related documentation. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Production, and Customer Service to resolve issues, coordinate with freight carriers for domestic and international shipments, maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and train staff on standard work and ERP transactions. Focus on improving dock flow, space utilization, and overall on-time delivery and throughput while providing leadership and accountability for attendance and performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 3–5+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory or lead experience required
- Experience working in an ERP-driven operation (Jobscope strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and material flow execution
