Supported Living Team Leader

Job Summary
Take full responsibility for and work with the Operational Manager & Senior Manager for the effective daily running of your designated service. Support the staff team to develop their skills & understanding of the supported person. Ensure all policies, procedures, & guidelines for the support of the individual are met. Carry out staff supervision, team meetings & appraisals, authorise annual leave, book staff training, complete return to work interviews. Ensure risk assessments & Person-Centred support plans are updated when needed. Ensure effective communication with all other parties that may be involved. Be part of the interview process for new staff, ensuring they are mentored & onboarded. Complete rotas & timesheets, complete monthly payroll reports. Be responsible for managing finances within the service. Update on-line data bases such as Coolcare, Camascope and Nourish. Be part of the staff team & work shifts (not night shift). Be part of the on-call system, to be on stand-by & available to cover services when needed. Additional Information: Enhanced DBS check; no visa sponsorship; shifts include evenings, weekends, and waking nights.
Required Qualifications
- Level 5 Social Care qualification (or willing to work towards this)
- Experience leading a team within Health and Social care
- Commitment to further training and development
- Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act
- Clean driving licence and willingness to be a named driver
- Awareness of intensive interaction or rebound therapy (training can be provided)
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and Autism
