Supported Living Program Coordinator with DSP Duties - Shoreline (Northwest Branch)

Job Summary

Oversee provision of support for assigned participants under supervision, including revising staffing schedules, providing on-site training, and monitoring participant home upkeep. Attend Person Centered Planning meetings to develop and implement individualized service plans, encouraging participant input on goals and preferences. Track routine tasks such as activity calendars, cleaning schedules, agency vehicle maintenance, and safety equipment checks. Maintain professional relationships with participants' families, vocational staff, and service providers while completing annual training requirements in First Aid, CPR, and mandated reporting. Operate a personal vehicle regularly and ensure all safety documentation is current.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • An associate degree, or its equivalent, from a college or university and at least 1 year experience working in social services
  • A high school diploma/GED and 3 years experience working in social services
  • Have a Washington State Driver's license, current vehicle insurance and able to be covered on Alpha Supported Living Services' automobile insurance plan based upon his/her driving record
  • Background inquiry clearance from an authorized state agency
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic to intermediate ability to use common productivity software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software and/or information systems
  • Basic ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Intermediate ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate sound judgement and exercise decision making relevant to the scope of work
  • Knowledge of personal care skills, techniques and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to use this knowledge to provide care and support for participants
  • Ability to recognize, adjust and react appropriately to individual differences in ability, personality, interests, behavioral challenges and medication protocols
  • Intermediate to advanced customer service skills
  • Actively look to help others
  • Awareness of impact of actions on others
  • Sensitivity and awareness to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
