Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support to residents in supported accommodation, building trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries. Collaborate with individuals to create support plans, manage benefits, and access external services through liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies. Ensure property standards, handle basic administration, and manage finances including charges and petty cash. Maintain building cleanliness, security, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Participate in an on-call rotation of approximately one week in eight for emergency cover. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience of working with vulnerable adults
- knowledge and appreciation of the many complex issues surrounding homelessness
- passionately believes in our mission of ending homelessness
- valid driving licence
- access to a vehicle
- Able to follow processes and maintain high standards
- Comfortable working independently
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Able to manage conflict and challenging behaviour
- Able to relate to and motivate disadvantaged individuals
- Energetic, creative and driven, with a proactive and positive approach
- Must be flexible
- some evening and weekend work will be required
- expected to participate in the on-call system (approximately 1 week in 8)
