Job Summary
Support Worker provides direct support, skill development, and community resource linkages to residents with psychiatric and/or substance use disabilities, aiming to help them live independently. The role is primarily field-based (70-80%), meeting residents on service plans, assessing needs, and completing progress notes, with on-call rotation on weekends. The position offers full-time benefits and an hourly wage between $19.23 and $21.63, with location in Eatontown, NJ. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline or a high school diploma with 3+ years of related experience, strong communication and assessment skills, trauma-informed approaches, and a valid NJ driver’s license; bilingual skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related discipline or High School Diploma plus 3+ years of related work or life experience
- The ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes
- Excellent communication, assessment, and people skills
- Patience and emotional resilience
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in challenging situations
- Critical thinking and adaptability
- Highly organized with time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy
- Ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses through empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed approaches
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
