Job Summary
Provide safe, person-centred support across Residential Care homes and Supported Independent Living programs, assisting with daily living tasks, skill development, and social inclusion. Respond to behaviours of concern using therapeutic approaches and build positive relationships with children, young people, and individuals with disabilities. Complete accurate documentation and case notes while working a 24/7 roster including evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays. This hands-on role requires confidence in high-support environments and adherence to trauma-informed practice.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate IV in Disability
- Experience in Residential Care, Youth Work, Disability Support or Community Services
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and behaviour support approaches
- Appointment subject to satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
