Support Worker- Regular Full-Time/Part-Time

Support Worker at Goodacre Place Supportive Housing provides direct support to tenants in a housing program focused on harm reduction, crisis de-escalation, and connecting residents to local health, social services, and life-skills programs. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities and housekeeping, developing and implementing care plans under the Site Manager, facilitating access to benefits and community resources, maintaining safe spaces, documenting activities and incidents, and collaborating with the team to promote housing stability and wellbeing. Required skills include crisis intervention, trauma-informed communication, strong interpersonal and documentation abilities, and the ability to engage with adults experiencing homelessness. Certifications such as First Aid & CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Naloxone, and Food Safe are part of the qualifications. The role requires working in Smithers, BC, with in-person duties and shifts that may include afternoons or evenings; compensation ranges from $25.00 per hour (days/afternoons) to $25.50 per hour (evenings).
