Job Summary
Assist qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents on the autism spectrum or with learning disabilities. Provide reliable, friendly, and compassionate support for personal care and encourage participation in in-house activities to promote engagement. Stay attentive to service users' needs, motivate them to reach their full potential, and demonstrate resilience when managing challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism. Work full-time (38.5 hours) at River House in Shaw's Bridge, Belfast, with a commitment to upholding professional standards and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Full driving license for a minimum of 3 years
- Ability to work shift patterns
- Good knowledge of and experience in health and social care settings
- A caring and respectful approach to supporting others
- Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures
