Job Summary
Provide positive support for clients with complex needs, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and medication management, while fostering independence and facilitating community participation. Respond promptly to challenges to ensure a safe environment and maintain accurate records of individual progress. Transport clients to appointments in Adelaide using an accessible van, requiring a P2 license and willingness to drive. Work morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with alternate weekends. Maintain a nurturing atmosphere through excellent communication and autonomous or team-based collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex care needs, including clients who present with high behavioural needs, with the confidence to respond effectively in challenging situations
- Must be a confident driver with at least a P2 driver's licence and willingness to operate an accessible van (training provided) to take clients to appointment in Adelaide
- Availability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts is required, including a minimum of one overnight shift each week and alternate weekends
- Have valid work visa and rights to work in Australia
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience (not essential but desirable)
- A passion for supporting people with disabilities to live their best lives
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
- Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
