Job Summary
Conduct domestic assistance, prepare meals, and support personal hygiene for aged care and disability clients. Deliver social supports by accessing the community and assist with medication management and medical service access. Empower clients to achieve personal goals while maintaining safety and following care plans in homes or the community. Work independently using digital systems and adhere to a planned roster. Requires a Certificate III or higher, current driver's license, and First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications

- Experience with personal care, medications, manual handling and behaviour support plans
- Knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the work in this level
- Ability to work independently and provide safe services in client homes or within the community, following care plans and following a planned roster/schedule
- Customer service skills including the ability to support consumers to build independence and exercise choice and control over their daily lives
- Ability to use digital systems including email, messenger systems and Client information systems
- Current C or CA Driver's license (QLD)
- Certificate III or higher in a relevant qualification with a minimum of 12 months industry experience
- Mandatory, current First Aid & CPR
- HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication Skill set
- Previous experience of working with culturally diverse clients
- Current or recent experience in client focused roles
- Ability to adapt communication to individual client needs
- Competent to recognise risks and incidents, react appropriately and report accurately
- Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia at the time of application
