Job Summary
Facilitate diverse daytime activities including exercise, singing, art, and gardening to support adults with learning and physical disabilities. Provide personal care and encourage independence while ensuring care, respect, and dignity are maintained at all times. Plan and lead varied sessions to improve self-esteem and confidence, working both within the day centre and in the community. Maintain accurate care plans using IT-based software and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of supporting individuals with personal care and accessing daily activities either in a formal or informal setting
- Level 2 or above (or equivalent) e.g., NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or Promoting Independence or willingness to undertake once appointed
- Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- To be aware of and demonstrate adherence to Policies & Procedures e.g., Code of Conduct, national legislation, Health & Safety, Data Protection, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS check
