Job Summary

Bilingual Support Worker in a mental health nonprofit providing direct support, skill development, and community resource linkages to Spanish-speaking residents with psychiatric and/or substance use disabilities. The role focuses on field-based service delivery (70-80% in the community) with progress notes completed in alignment with regulatory standards, and involves advocacy, collaboration with community organizations, and development of sustainable support networks to promote independence and integration. Rotating weekends on call are included with added compensation. The position offers full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and holidays. Must be fluent in Spanish, able to document progress notes, and hold a valid NJ driver’s license.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related discipline
  • or a high school diploma and at least three years of relevant work or lived experience
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, timely, and accurate billable progress notes in accordance with clinical, regulatory requirements
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and people skills
