Job Summary
Provide effective, values-driven support to clients at the Morisset and Berkley Vale AOD Services, ensuring their immediate needs are met and rights are upheld. Implement risk management plans, facilitate daily activity programs, and monitor participant safety while assisting with self-administration of medication. Collaborate with staff teams to support participants in achieving treatment goals and accessing community services. Tasks include light cleaning, room preparation, and transporting participants to appointments. This role applies recovery-oriented, person-centred, and trauma-informed practice skills within Australia's largest drug, alcohol, and gambling rehabilitation centre.
Required Qualifications
- A current and valid First Aid Certificate
- A current and valid NSW Driver Licence
- Minimum Certificate 4 qualification relevant to the work performed and or equivalent previous experience in relevant industry, and/or on the job training
- Experience working with people with AOD and Co-occurring issues
- AOD Certificate 4 Core unit AOD Skill set or willingness to undertake if required
- Successful completion of a Working with Children Check
- Mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
